I've long been a believer that God is speaking and you only need to listen. His voice comes to you from all around; things you see, hear, and heck if I'm running with cliches and being honest the things we taste and smell.
This whole day, I have been inundated with the literal message of:
"The purpose of life is to know yourself and love yourself and trust yourself and be yourself."

This was the message that came with my Yogi afternoon tea and I remember thinking to myself, partly true, but there is more to life than yourself so not quite.
As the day went on though a few small things would bring my mind back to the wisdom of the little tea bag.
My attention was grabbed this evening though after listening to a song called "Me Again" the lyrics "you make me, believe in me again" really called to me and made me think of that smart little tea bag again. It seems sometimes some of the hardest things in life are knowing ourselves, trusting ourselves and loving ourselves, but we need that in order to believe in ourselves and only then can we Be ourselves.
My aha moment, the final cherry on top of today's wisdom sundae came while listening to "I Hope you Dance" for the 2nd time today.
"I hope you never fear those mountains in the distance
never settle for the path of least resistance
living might mean taking chances
but their worth taking...
When you get the choice to sit it out or dance
I hope you dance, I hope you dance
The lyrics of this song is sooo powerful and the song was my grandmother's song and holds a special meaning for my family so when I hear it, I tend to really listen to it and when I did this whole days message hit home for me. One of the biggest purposes of your life is to be yourself.
I have to be self-aware and know who I am, I have to trust in myself, I have to love myself and I have to be myself and the sooner I do the better because "time is a wheel in constant motion, always running us along. Tell me who wants to look back on their years and wonder where those years have gone".
